Increase Your HORSE POWER with the new H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut License Plate!

Here’s an exciting way to support H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut: the new H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut license plate! Fifty dollars from the sale of each license plate will be donated directly to H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut to help us continue our important mission to rescue and rehabilitate abused and neglected horses and ponies. The license plate will also help increase awareness of H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut throughout the state.

The total one-time cost of the H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut license plate is $115.00 to keep your current plate number or to obtain a new, random “off-the-shelf” plate number. If you want to obtain a new vanity plate, the total one-time cost of the plate is $180.00. In order for the Department of Motor Vehicles to issue the new H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut license plate, we need to guarantee the purchase of at least 400 plates.

If you have a vehicle with a passenger, combination, camp trailer (horse trailer), camper, handicapped, or commercial registration, your vehicle is eligible for the new H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut license plate. Motorcycles are not eligible. You may only acquire the same registration type as you currently have on your vehicle(s), and your vehicle(s) must be registered in Connecticut.

If you’d like to purchase a plate, please download and complete the application form (Adobe Reader required to download; please print neatly or type on the application). Mail the completed application and two separate checks or money orders to H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut, 43 Wilbur Road, Washington, CT 06777, Attention: License Plate.

To keep your current number or obtain an off-the-shelf plate, make one check/money order payable to “DMV” in the amount of $65.00 to cover their administrative costs, and one check/money order payable to “H.O.R.S.E. of CT” in the amount of $50.00.

To obtain a new vanity plate, make one check/money order payable to “DMV” in the amount of $130.00 to cover their administrative costs, and one check/money order payable to “H.O.R.S.E. of CT” in the amount of $50.00.

You must send two separate checks or money orders. We will not process the H.O.R.S.E. of CT checks/money orders until the license plates are issued. If your registration is due to expire soon, please renew your registration before you apply!
