A.K.A. "Yellow Ribbon", she is a 17-year-old 16 hand registered Standard bred dark bay mare who rides English or Western. Loves trail riding! Her owner recently died and she must be placed with her sister, Genesis. See Bow under saddle.

QUARTER HORSE

A four-year-old Draft cross PMU gelding standing 16'3 hands tall, who was born at H.O.R.S.E of CT. Bronson has been handled daily since his birth and can go out on trails in hand. He has started under saddle (English) both in the ring and on trails. Bronson behaves well for the farrier and is good for worming and shots. He would be great for an experienced horse person to raise. See Bronson in action.

A 13-year-old 16’2 hand chestnut Quarter Horse cross gelding, Charlie is an ex-show horse who can be ridden English or Western in the ring or on trails. He has been hunter paced and placed third (without jumping) in an April event. See Charlie under saddle.

An 8-year-old 15’2 hand bay Quarter horse/Draft PMU mare who would be great for an intermediate rider. She can be ridden either English or Western and leads or follows on trail rides. See Lacey under saddle.

Blondie is a sweet, 20-year-old Appendix gelding who initially came to HORSE as a rescue from slaughter. He is 16'2 hands, and has navicular changes, for which he wears special shoes. Blondie is nice to work with; he rides English and loves to walk, trot and canter on the trails.See Blondie under saddle.

Pete is a 6-year-old Miniature Sicilian Donkey. He gets along with horses and other farm animals and likes to go on walks. He is very friendly once he gets to know you.

Toby is a 20-year-old, 16 hand Appendix gelding. An ex-race horse who was abused, he is shy at first. Toby rides English on trails; he would make an excellent trail horse for an experienced woman rider.

Kaylee, a 22-year-old, 14'1 hand Arab cross mare, came to HORSE as an abandonment case. This chocolate roan has started under saddle in the ring. She lived completely alone for 10 years, so Kaylee must have a full-time companion horse at her adoptive home.

Tall, dark and handsome, Espirit is a 21-year-old, 16-hand Appendix gelding who used to race and has the tattoo to prove it. Lovely to look at and also to work with, Espirit enjoys a good trail ride (walk, trot, canter) and has hunter paced. See Espirit under saddle.

A seven-year-old 13’2 Haflinger gelding. The Haflinger breed originated in Austria and is a small draft horse. Cooper, although still young, loves trail riding (English only) either solo or with other horses. He loves to do mileage, even 6-8 miles at a time. Cooper would need a quiet, experienced rider; and because of past abuse, he’s very shy. A woman would be best for him. See Cooper under saddle.

An 8-year-old PMU 16'1 hand mare, Angel is a Quarter Horse/draft cross who loves to do mileage. She has gone on several hunter paces and would be great for a person who loves to trot for miles.

Scotty, a 22-year-old registered Appendix gelding, stands 16'1 hands. He has started ring work and trail riding (English), and he wants to be a hot ticket. Scotty requires a quiet, experienced person to bring him back into shape for trail riding. See Scotty under saddle.

Slick, a 6-year-old Percheron-Friesian gelding, stands 17'1 hands tall and is a gentle giant. He has been ridden English in the ring and out on trails, both with other horses and solo. See Slick in action.

Folly is a 27-year-old Welsh pony who stands 13’1 hands tall. She loves to go for walks and is good on a lead line with a child up. Folly would also make an excellent companion pony. See more of Folly.

Honey is a 24-year-old Quarter Horse-cross mare who stands 14'1 hands tall. She would be excellent for a woman or child, and rides in the ring or on trails (walk-trot-canter). See Honey under saddle.

Freckles, a 19-year-old Registered Quarter Horse gelding, stands 15'3 hands tall. He has old injuries in his front legs, but loves to go for walks and carries a small person at a walk.

A 22-year-old 16’3 flea-bitten grey Thoroughbred gelding who was a Canadian jumper and a lesson horse for seven years. Mogul will make an excellent companion horse.

A 25-year-old 16’3 hand bay Standardbred/ Warmblood cross gelding, Stetson was seized by the State and turned over to H.O.R.S.E. of CT. He is a very affectionate guy who loves to go for walks or riding (strolling on the trails). He would make a great companion horse! See Stetson under saddle.

Sampson is a 22-year-old roan Belgian gelding and stands 16'3 hands tall. He loves to go for walks. Sam is quiet to work around, and he likes men.
