Horses Available for Adoption Under Saddle

Bronson is an 8-year-old Belgian-Quarter Horse cross gelding standing 17 hands tall. He is very solid in the ring and loves to go on long, working trail rides. Bronson likes to move -- he is suited for an experienced rider only, and is not for the faint of heart.

Charlie, a 17-year-old, 16'2 hand Quarter Horse cross gelding who loves
to move. He is well trained and will go for miles on the trails, with or
without other horses. Charlie's rider must weigh 175 pounds or less.

Lacey is an 12-year-old Quarter Horse-Draft cross mare standing 15'2 hands tall. She is a solid riding horse in the ring and can go for miles on trails; she loves to lead and would be best for an intermediate rider. Lacey takes an extra-wide saddle.

Dinero is an 8-year-old, 17-hand Appaloosa gelding. He is friendly and spirited, loves to go on trail rides with other horses. He needs an experieced rider. His abilities under saddle are limited due to ringbone.

Justice is a 4-year-old Connemara Quarter Horse Cross who is beginning his training. He goes solo on trails and needs an experienced rider.

Jack is an 12-year-old, 18'3 hand Percheron cross gelding. Due to old injuries, he has some limitations; but Jack can go on the trails with or without other horses; he also enjoys hand walks. Because of his size, Jack needs someone who is confident around horses; but he is very sweet and loves attention.

Romeo is an 20-year-old Thoroughbred who came to H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut underweight and injured. This 15'2 hand ex-race horse likes to move; he can carry a rider who weighs 125 pounds or less.

Espirit is a 16-hand, 26-year-old Thoroughbred who used to race. He rides English or Western, but his rider cannot weigh more than 150 pounds. He will go on the trails with others or alone, but prefers to go with other horses.

Star is an 8-year-old Morgan/Arab Cross who likes to move. He is a Registered White Horse who goes solo, works in the ring and goes to the state park solo. He loves to do mileage and needs an experienced rider.
