Then.....March 2009

Hi, my name is Romeo. I came to H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut in March 2009 after injuring myself and spending six months - 24/7 - hanging around a paddock, hurting, in a rain sheet. I apologize for not looking my best, but hope you understand.

Even if people let me down earlier in life, I still like them. I even managed to get both ears up for this picture (left). Looking cute draws attention away from my bony hips.

And Now (so far).....June 2009

This is how I'm looking these days, in May (left) and June (right) of 2009. It's amazing what a little TLC and good food will do for you. And medicine. And new shoes. Okay, so it took a lot of work by a many people who love me -- but I'm worth it. I'm still getting better, but I feel like a million bucks!

Here I am in July of 2009. I'm still a little ribby, but I'm on my way.

This is me in September 2009.
